Default Color Tinting Fog Lights

So I think I'm going to give my fog lights some character over the stock ones and put some yellow tint/cover over the lenses to change the color of them. I'm might order them from xpel or see if I can find a cheaper way of doing it. Maybe color car tint and hope that it doesn't peel away when they are on since it'll get hot. If the tint does work then I can buy it in bulk and make a bunch .

Here's a mock up of my car with the yellow tinting which I think looks great with red...would also be cool for you Alabaster owners too.

I replaced mine with 80 watt yellow Xenon Plasma bulbs (#9006) you can get 55 or 80 watt bulbs from here:

I'm going to put yellow bulbs in too but I want to get the yellow lens look that you would typically get from an AM fog lamp but in the factory housing.

It'll probably happen within the month once I get back from my trips.

I have a McCulloch 3,000K HID kit that lights up a solid yellow in my fogs. They look great, and they definitely improve visibility. These along with the 5,000K headlights make it look like daylight in front of my car.

I like it, looks pretty good with the black on black. I'll still get the PIAA Ion Yellow bulbs since the yellow tint won't do much for a color change other than exterior looks.

I'm going to order the tint now and I'll get it all together once I get my SRT bumper.

I'm ordering a foot of yellow tint for about $12 shipped, the paypal address is: xtremecity@aol.com and you just need to tell them you need how ever many feet of what ever color tint you want. It's $2.25 per foot and it's 40 inches wide, so 1 foot is plenty for doing the fogs.

Ordered all of my lights and equipment for the light changes.

PIAA Ion Yellow Wedge bulbs for parking/driving lights.
PIAA Ion Yellow 9006 Fog bulbs.
Yellow tint.

This will all be installed when I change out my bumper, obviously pics to come when it's done.

Does the tint go on the inside or outside of the lenses?

Outside. Not sure of the quality or integrity of the tint and how it will stand up in real-world applications but I'll find out after I put it on. For $12 it doesn't hurt to try.

Cool, I was wondering that. I also had seen a Crossfire at SEMA (the photo is flying around the net) of a really trick looking black one with both the fogs and the headlights tinted yellow. Plus the owner fabbed up a trick air foil for the front bumper. It has a real tuner feel to it. Unfortunately I only saw one shot of it (front three quarters view).

That's the one! I really like how the color stands out against the black.

I just got done finishing up the fog lights with the tint and they look awesome. Pretty much the same as the photoshopped one I did earlier. Also, the tint makes the PIAA Ion Yellow lights even more yellow.

I need to resize my pictures and I'll post them up.

EDIT: Just look in my Photo Gallery they'll be the first ones in there.
