Decided to get Lambo doors
Wondering if anyone has any, what angle they got, and how the accessibility is effected. I seen a few pics and they look like they don't get in the way much. Any negative of having them? what type do you have, and how much u paid for the hinge, and labor.

It's me again...I've thought about getting the Lambo doors as well and decided not to just for the simple fact that they have to be welded on and I've looked around...unlike most kits now a days that are just bolt on...if you do find a bolt on kit PLEASE let me know...good luck.
yea there are alot of bolt on kits, but they still require some modding (cutting fender, extending wiring) but there a plenty bolt ons. google Chrysler Crossfire Lambo doors or VTC. and there are dozens.
I have seen the same. Usually the weld solution is less expensive. I would recommend at least 90 degrees, there are some new ones that go over 100 degrees. There is a wild price difference depending on the supplier. I have seen kits as low as $150 and as high as $2K and that does not include install.
I have been toying with the idea for a year now. Not just for looks. The doors are very long (and heavy). If you get stuck in a space where you can't let the door open and hold at the second detent, it is hard to bring your legs in without crushing them. The Lambo action would allow easier access in a tight parking place.

Ok thanks everyone. I would also like to see a picture of the hinge itself installed. If anyone has any, or some lambo doors that they can take a pic of please post them. I would really like to see how the actually hinge looks before i go and spring a few grand on getting then and having then installed and have them look like crap. And if anyone can find some pics of the hinges on any car that would help too. looks for a close up of the hinge open. I figured they close flush and you cant even tell they are there when its closed, but iw ant to see what it would look like when its open. Thanks

now i debating weather to get the GT diablo's or LSD, any help. the LSD's are $1,800, and the Gt diablo's are only $899. but the universal installation will cost more ($2,500), compared to $1,000. the GT open further, but the hinge doesn't look too good itself. and its more risky welding then just bolting. so i decided to go with the LSD.
ok i think i decided, tomorrow i'm going to have a set of LSD's order, then when they get there, they are going to schedule me in. they said the labor will cost $1,000, and the parts are $1,799. should take about a week to get them, then i go in the following week for the work.

Romio - that's a lot of dough.
My thing (for the most part) is if it doesn't make it go faster or handle better, I'm not interested.
To each their own though.
yea, but i don't need a supercharger, had this same debate when i bought my car. It was either 26k for a SRT or $19,500 for my '04. i figured i didn't need a supercharger for what i do, and 3.2 natural is fine for me. But i use my doors everyday, at least twice.
you don't pull out to a party and everyone is staring because u have a supercharger. from the outside no one can tell. So i think i just made my final decision. going to order them tomorrow after work. i'll keep everyone posted.

Check these people before you order.

When I looked them up on eBay they were the only ones that specifically listed Chrysler Crossfire with their doors. They have a number of options including either weld or bolt on. They also offer fully motorized kits that open and raise the doors automatically with a remote. They have an 800 number and will do live chat on the web.

You have a link? I think i talked to them, but the motorized costs like $2,800, and the quality of the hinge isn't the best. I talked to the guy at the body shop where i'm getting it done, and he said LSD are some of the best.

GT Factory is the best i've seen. Ichon's got these, AFAIK...
tons of pics and info on their site: http://www.gtfactory.jp/

the GT's are only $800, but my body shop told me it would be at least $2,500 to install, compared to $1,000 for bolt on. i was going to order tomorrow, but when i was deciding, i liked the look of the Diablo's, the angle is higher, but the hinge looks nasty, and its got a bad wiring harness set-up. i'm gonna call around tomorrow and see what kinda prices i can get on installing the universal GT's, because i do think they look better, but i heard there's more chance it won't line up, its weaker because of the weld, and they don't seal as good. is this true?

ugh, the more i look at both the more indecisive i get. I was going to go with the LSD's, but now i see how much better the Diablos look. they up much further, you don’t have to open your door 30 degrees first like on the LSD, and on the Diablos the doorway is much more open.
