Default X-treme Power by Philips

Just ordered these new H7 bulbs that proclaim to have up to 80% more light than standard halogens. Philips has a product presentation with these new bulbs shown off on a roadster. Here's the link...

The (H7) bulbs were ordered from Autolamps Online, a Philips automotive authorized dealer. Here's the website. The cost of $51 for the pair includes the shipping from England.

I will provide more feedback once they arrive.

Which H7's did you purchase? 55W, 60W or 80 Watt Rally.
Please provide part numbers.
Which are legal?
(Somewhere 55W sounds right?)

Let me know?
Thanks.

H7 X-treme 12 volt 55 watt. The part number is H7 12972XP. Here is a link to the order page. They are legal.

Hope this helps!

Halogen / Xenon plasma bulbs - Nokya, Polarg, Raybrig

I just don't have the interest to be a guinea pig at $70. The $50 it cost me for the Philips Xtreme bulbs still tastes bad...

Max, did you end up ordering some of these Xtreme bulbs before going to HID?

If so, were they horrible or what?

bad taste? please explain. what were your issues with this? my main goal is to match my high beams with my 4300K HID lows. i don't really need more light output but i don't want less either. i also don't want changing burnt bulbs every 3 months.

Yep, I ordered, and received the Philips Xtreme bulbs. I installed ONE to compare to the Slverstar Ultra I had in the other highbeam projector. Exactly the same.

Just a bit more expensive.

My only goal is to match the 5000K I have 4300K would be fine by me, just so they don't look YELLOW like the silverstars and these Xtremes.

The jap tuner guys use the Raybrigs. When I have some extra cash...maybe.

http://www.eautoworks.com/product-Raybrig-113875.htm

A little cheaper. If you get them, let us know how they work out?

I've had the xtremes on for about a year now. Bought them at suvlights.com:
suvlights.com PHILIPS- Xtreme Power XP +80%! - (Clear)- H4/9003, H7, 9006/HB4, 9007/HB5, & 900

They are brighter than the Vision Plus I've always had on other cars. In fact, I've got xtreme bulbs in both my lows and my fog. I am quite happy with them, since my focus was more on illuminating power rather than on color aesthetics. To each his/her own.

Sendjjmail, do share how you like them.

Edit: I also wanted to point to this site which I have used to get more tech info on auto lighting:

Thanks, maxcichon!
Just went through the whole commentary on your recommended site. This is a keeper for sure, for the day I make the jump to HIDs.

Cheers!

I have been running these for two years and like them a lot:

Bimmian Xenesis Tru-Match Bulbs for BMW 1 3 5 6 7 M X Z Series Coupe Sedan Convertible

Short of going HID, this is as close as it gets for bright, white light. I have them for Low, High, Fog and License Plate. The lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either....had one license plate bulb replaced so far.

Andrew first brought these to our attention several years ago.
