Some trivia on Chinese 100w bulbs
Well, I bought a complete set of what were supposed to be 55W "super white" H7 bulbs from a vendor on E-bay a week or so ago. They showed up on Saturday. When I opened the box, the bulb container stated 100W 12V H7 "low input". I really didn't want 100W bulbs as I was concerned about damage to the reflector and headlight housings on the car. Anyway, just for curiosity purposes, I brought them in to work and tested them for current draw. Turns out that they each draw 6.4 Amps at 12 Volts, which works out to about 60W/65W output each. So if you've purchased a set of these Chinese "low input" 100W bulbs, keep in mind that they are probably only 60W bulbs (safe for your headlight housings, that's a good thing). I agree with others on this site who are concerned with damage to headlight housings using high output bulbs.
