Default Paint Colors

Hello all, may seem like an odd question. But I am wondering if anyone knows the paint code, or at least the exact name of a Mercedes SLR color. It looks almost like an iridescent paint whose base is black, but with a tinge of green in it. I saw a picture of it online and just fell in love and had been talking about repainting my black crossfire to make her stand out just a bit. I would hate to order paint and get the wrong color. If anybody knows, please drop me a line. Thank you in advance.

whatever shop is doing the work should have books with paint swatches and their respective color codes for you to pick from. check out the MB book and see if any of those are it -

I believe SLR's are painted with that new "nano" paint...It's a very expensive process! They use ceramic particles less than a millionth of a millimeter in size in the clearcoat. There's also supposed to be a special method of application and baking.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Well crap. I guess it will be two days in the paint mixing booth again. Thank you for the info though. Last time I had to pick a paint color, I spent two days mixing paints for my hot rod. Granted I love the colors I came out with, but was hoping for an easier one this time, and if its some special paint, don't think its in the budget. Lol. Here is a picture of the color, *drool* ARGH, I can not get it to load, it is in my gallery of pictures if anybody cares to see it.

That's a pretty sick color. You could probably get the same effect by a different process and have it possibly be cheaper.
