I had read a thread where someone replaced their amber front turn signal bulbs with chrome coated one's that shine amber. I had done the same on my GMC truck, but my lens's are smoked and they didn't shine bright enough so I could not use them. But with the Xfire being clear I thought I would try it, but when I went to Auto Zone to pick them up they didn't have them anymore. So I was looking at the Silver Star bulb's that were kind of blue, I went ahead and bought a pair. When I had previously pulled the turn signal bulb's out I just gave them a quick look and thought they were just like the old 1156 bulb's. But when I went to install the Silver Star bulb's the OEM bulb's side pins were not 180 degree's apart like the 1156 one's. So I went ahead & shaved down one of the side pins to get them to fit. It worked out okay & I really like the looks of the blue reflecting out of the housing. I'll post a picture, but it don't do the real life look justice. I've also got Nokya bulb's in the fog lights that have blue on them, they also reflect a blue color from the housing.
