well if i were supplied with a hood i am guessing around $1000 that will uses all the same parts as the factory including the hood latch, If there were a group order I could do better on the price.

I really like the looks of the SL that Uncle O did. I would prefer it silver to the black, but it does fit well.

Hey Ric I want to make sure I understand your post, you are saying that if I supplied you with a hood and those vents, all it would cost me would be 1000 dollars to get a carbon fiber verson of the hood with the vents installed? or are you saying it would cost me 1000 dollars to get the mold? If its 1000 dollars for the hood then I very much can buy a second hood to ship to you.

I also am still in contact with another shop about this all though I have been able to get the price of the whole process to be 2500 - 4000, your price is still much better and I would prefer to go through you though.

So yes Ric if you could please answer that for me and I think I sent you a PM a while ago so if you could also respond to that if you still have it that would be great.

P.S. I'm not letting this thread die till its really over , I want a CF hood and I am going to do my best to make it happen, so to anyone still following this if it takes me a while to post something new, it doesn't mean I have given up.

Just out of curiosity what will be the weight savings on the hood.
how much does the stock hood weigh and how much will the carbon fibre hood weigh? I am very interested in lightening the car.

Hey, sorry you guys have such a grim outlook on this project, but I understand, I would too. Anyways I am going to get some pretty solid numbers hopefully before or by the weekend from this one company I have been in contact with most of this time. At which point I will post them up and see what anybody thinks about them.
