LED Eyelids the New Halo?
Has anyone seen that newer Audi that has a line of white LEDs on the bottom and outside edges of the headlight? It's REALLY cool looking; way better than halos. My arch nemesis next door has them on his Audi and I need to figure out a way to one-up him with my Xfire.
I found a pic on flickr in case you don't know what I'm talking about:

You have to bake open / close your headlamps.. not a easy task.. (yes, put them in your oven)

There is a thread in the forum about installing angel eyes, the steps on how to seperate the headlight housings and yep, using your home oven to cook them in! If you are going to do this, please post the results. It would look cool.
I'm interested in his mod also. I just did a search on "headlight housing" and didn't come up with the post detailing with how to separate them by baking them in the oven. Anybody familiar with this post and can steer me in the right direction? Thanx.........

This is the thread I recall which had a link to a DIY. Hope this helps.

First off, I think they look very cool. However, didn't I just see a KIA commercial showing a new model with-you guessed it-a line of white LED's around the headlights.
I don't think I'll be going down that road.

The thing is though people will look @ the KIA and be like "good one, copying the expensive cars" whereas on our cars people will point and say "thats awsome" dont think KIA will get that reception lol.
SAAB's version is also very nice. Rather then the halo's, the luminous strip is straight above the headlights at the very top of the lens to look like eyebrows. It has a tapper to it and is very bright and seen in daylight. Its a continuous light like halos, not separate LED's.
Hmmm... no thanks.
This is not different to me than covering your cell phone / wallet / etc with swarovski crystals.

The first Crossfire owner who mods their vehilce with these LEDs shall be forever known as the rhinestone cowboy!
