Default LEDs in side markers... warning light on dash?

Thanks to Maxcichon for the front silver amber 194s for my clear corner markers. Recently I bought inverted red LEDs for the rear clear markers. They color is a perfect match for the tail lights vs. red 194s.

So now how do I get the dash warning light off? It thinks both rear corner bulbs are out because the LED draw is not enough. Is there something I can do without disturbing the factory harness?

Any help is appreciated. James

Yep, you can buy "Load Resistors" for ~ $15-$25 each. Or make them for ~ $3 each.
Give me a few minutes and I'll make a how-to for the forum?

P.S. You'll need one for each LED.

OK, I found some really well priced bits.:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...gi?product=CAR

You are looking for the 25 watt/25 Ohm sets. (RL-2525 Marker Lamp Load Resistor)

Or do this:

Parts List/Load Resistors

22-18 ScotchLok Power Tap

And make an assembly like this:

Then crimp the ScotchLok connectors in parallel with the LED.

You will need to solder the wires to the resistor taps.

Thanks Max. The cold weather has set in here and my garage has just enough room left to park the Crossfire. So I need to wait for a warm spell to work on it in the driveway. Thanks for the help and I understand what you explained.

Is it possible Radio Shack would have what I needed? I am 2 minutes away from one.

Thanks again, James

No, I don't think so. They are special-application resistors.
The link to the pre-made units use the same Dale-Vishay resistors, and sell them for $3.95 each. Plus $5 shipping.

What you're looking for is ~ 3/4 the way down that page.

That, sir is cheap. I would order them there. A lot less hassle!

Let me know?
