Illuminated Door Sills
I installed illuminated door sills on my car about 8 months ago and noticed a couple of weeks ago the " E " on "CROSSFIRE" looks like it shorted to ground and now my sill reads "CROSSFIR" when the drivers side door is open.
Anyone have a fix for this ? Can the light strip be replaced ?

MMZ Timelord did some surgery on his. You'll have to search.
But it's all one strip? I don't see how one end could go bad.
It IS a Chrysler part. 12 Month warranty.

Here's Timelord's thread about changing the color:

He shows photos of it taken apart.

yeah it's weird, one would think the whole strip would go dead, but nope, just the " E " and it is shorted, there's a little burned spot under the protective overlay.
