Does it come off?
The strip that runs along the roof is chipped on my car and I am taking it to get painted tomorrow and I was just wondering if it comes off and if the place can paint just that or if they are going to have to paint the surrounding area to blend the new paint.

I have a Chrysler 300 and it has the same type of trim between the roof panels. When I picked it up I said that it was bent the manager said they would replace it. It comes out but I am afraid I do not know how. My guess is that it is pressed in.
While I'm not completely sure about the Crossfire, I am responsible for the same part at the OEM that I work at. Our vehicles have a clip at the front and rear of the car to secure the ends. The rest of the molding is press fit in the channel bwtween the roof and side panels. To remove them start at the rear, pull the end straight up, once the clip is disengaged pull the rest of the molding out of the channel and then disconnect the front clip.
Again, not sure if the Crossfire uses a similar design, but it might help you.

I think it is two sided tape ,because i had mine painted under warranty and it was done in 3 hours,, they said they just put a new one on the car becaused they had a extra set for the crossfire. jim
