I am replacing my uv damaged plastic pieces that are around the windshield with a new one and was wondering if anyone has done this and how hard it might be? I havent started yet but wanted some insight. Thanks for any help I can get in advance.

I just had my windshield replaced last Thursday and they removed and replaced the trim quite easily.
They used these plastic tools that looked sort of like putty knives and gently pried up from the glass side of the trim starting at the upper corners of the windshield. Then just worked toward the middle.
Then the same procedure on the sides.

It was very easy. All you need is a fiber bar and a screw driver. Take off the interior plastic piece on the A-pillar and pull away the pastic seal. There are 5 screws in there and once removed you can pull away another seal and reveal the clip to pop off with the fiber bar. The top just pops off with the fiber bar pushed into wehere the clips are, put the fiber bar on the roof side not the window side of the center piece. took 20 minutes tops.
