Are the headlight lenses easily removed from the fixture?

Are the headlight lenses easily removed from the fixture?
I'm wondering if the lenses can be removed from the fixtures or if they are sealed with an adhesive. I haven't pulled mine off to check. There's a small amount of residue inside the lens that I'd like to clean up.
