So I had a little accident and I need a new front bumper on my '04 ltd coupe. I was having estimates done and at the dealership they told me they can't do the SRT6 bumper because the SRT came out in '05 and the mounting brackets might be different.

Did they move the mounting brackets ever? or will the SRT bumper fit on my '04

and does anybody know if there's a significant price difference between the two? Thanks!

 

The SRT bumper fits onto your NA.
There's a good write-up on this forum somewhere - I have it at home (I'll try and remember to download it - or pm me)

 

even the '04 model? they didn't change the positions for mounting it?

I know it fits '05 and up, but I just want to check it fits the '04

 

I very much doubt they would change the attachment points - the chances of changing that without changing tooling etc. for the BIW and/or bumper are slim - it would not be cost effective.

I have an 04 coupe with an SRT-6 front bumper, fits perfect.

 

Take the car to another shop...................one that actually has worked on a Crossfire before.




PS: mounting points are the same on ALL Crossfires for ALL years of production.

 

I have one on my '04... all body panels are the same for all years.

 

Where can i buy an srt-6 bumper? ive been wanting one for a while!

they are not avail thru chrysler at the moment however there's 4 dealers that show them in stock chryslerpartsdirect is not one of them....

 

About 2 weeks ago, I checked price and availability at my local CJD dealer. $324 my price and have it in 2 days. What has changed?

My bad. They used to have them though - LOL.
I need to remember that when people need parts we should send them your way.

 

Quite a bit has changed alot of chryslers suppliers are not shipping parts. then the parts we can get most of them we have to pay special fees just to order its a mess......

Hello, YES the SRT front end is a direct bolt on for the 04. I had someone back into my car last fall, long story short I had the body shop install the SRT front nose. It is also actually cheaper than the "limited" nose as well.

 

Just got it back today, with the SRT bumper. The price was the same for either bumper so I figured why not...

I had them not put the front license bracket on either, since I had that before. I hated it, and now with the new bumper and no front license plate, it looks amazing!
