Paint suggestions
I recently had a little mishap regarding the paint on my car...The car is garage kept for starters. While moving something (a chair) through the garage, part of the chair fell off and left a nasty scratch down & across the driver side rear panel. There is also a few small dents where it made initial impact.
First question: Is the body of the XFI painted in Germany or was it done stateside? If stateside, I think I will take it to a Chrysler body shop. If done in Germany, would it be better to take it to a MB dealer/body shop?
Has anyone had experience with Carsmetics? How would you rate their work on your XFi? I am skeptical about going with anyone less but feel more assured going to the dealer. I've already gotten a quote from a Chrysler dealers body shop. Rear panel & driver door, approx. $780. For this kind of money, should I fork out the difference to have the entire car repainted (original color is black of course)? On previous cars, I have been charged about $1500 for the entire car (Chrysler LHS), but being this is XFi, I'm sure they'll charge a lot more. I have been meaning to get a quote for the entire car. Also remove some minor dings here and there too.
Would like to hear some of your experiences with a similar issues.

I would go to a few high-end dealers (Porsche, Mercedes, etc.) and see who they use. Some times they farm out their body/paint work to highly skilled, local independent shops. Like FP said make sure you get a warranty.
