Default HID install concern pt 2

SO I am in the middle of installing my HID lights now. I got the old lights off and am trying to put the new one in and also thread the connectors through the spring clip. Only problem is this rubber circle thing that has all the wires going through it. This circle thing is taking up too much room and I can't thread the connectors through the spring clip. What should I do? Should I cut out the rubber circle thing? The step by step instructions I am using from this forum doesn't have that rubber circle I don't think. Please any help is great, thanks

haha yeah really...so I cut off the rubber circle part and was able to get the passanger side bulb to work. Now for the driver side. As I started to pull off the "H" looking plastic piece, I pulled out the whole spring clip!!! I have been spending the past two hours trying to get the spring clip back in place but I have NO idea where the holes are for the spring clip. The spring clip holds in the bulb right? So basically I really need the spring clip to be in haha...this sucks

Welcome to the club! I had the same thing happen but it has been a couple of years now. I think I remember needle nose pliers being used, flash light, mirror and not having huge hands helps too.

You're lucky!

Put the connectors through first, one at a time and then gently slide the grommet through just like a coin in a slot. Be gentle-don't dislodge the spring clip.

6 hours later, I got it!

Somehow I got the spring clip back in place after popping it out haha. I am very surprised. Tonight I tested out the lights and it looks like they are set correctly. I LOVE em'!! Thanks for the help guys
