$495.95 for just an exhaust tip! Holy Cow! I do like it but wouldn't pay that much for it. At least they have pictures of it already on a crossfire.

It looks like a rendering of what it should look like, except the for the bottom right, that's the real deal. Ugly in my opinion.

Isn't that the ol' Startech tip?

For that much cash I'd expect some fun AND breakfast in the morning.

i simply said "Ill take one of these off your hands for $200 if they are still around..."

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand my reply:

Hello Dave,

If we take 60% off the price of this item you'll buy it? How about you
just take it for free, would you be willing to do that?

This item is available from the manufacturer in Germany, it's fabricated
upon order. This is not a marketplace in Mexico, we do not play let's make
a deal at more than half-off. I hope you can see how ridiculous your
message sounds, regardless of how overpriced you feel this item may be.

Have a wonderful day.

Find some sheet metal friends with a water jet and some 304 stainless steel. Draw up and cut out the pattern yourself on white construction paper. Looks like under $100.00 job including welding. Squirrel Crusher

I would take Squirrel's advice...and as for autoxclusive...I have bought from them in the past, but after that response, they can kiss my ***...they just lost a customer...how's that? lol

Whatever floats your boat. If you like it, go for it.

I'll stick with the OEM tips unless I change out my entire exhaust system.

Edit: I have purchased many items from AutoXclusive and have no problems with them. But then, I never tried to bid them down on a price. With the limited suppliers of after market parts for Xfires, I'm glad we have them.

Doesn't even seem like something I would want. Other stuff at their site seems pretty high to me as well.

I would like the Crossfire Bi-Xenon Headlight System, but I'm not about to spend that much money even if I managed to see them on an XF in person to make sure I liked them.

It amazes me that a business, at any point in its life, would be cocky or openly arrogant to the public.

True, you were low-balling him, but I wonder how many of those tips are collecting dust on his shelves? Making $200 is always better than making $0.

It's only a mediocre looking tip at best, even at half price.

When a business can effectively "shoo away" a potential buyer with an insulting response, it's time they had an attitude adjustment. The market is loaded with starving entrepreneurs... Cream rises to the top.

Obviously they have a customer base that don't mind paying exuberant prices for their products. Still to be outwardly cocky as such ..... not someone I would buy anything from anytime soon !!!
Oh he did state that these tips were manufactured on demand so he has no cost or inventory until someone places an order. Smart business, just crappy customer relations !

I highly doubt THAT exhaust tip is actually sitting on ANYONE'S shelf. Most retailers nowadays simply drop-ship from the manufacturer. If I were you, I'd just call Borla and see what they could do. Their site only lists catbacks for the Xfire, but they might have a tip that could work.

OTOH, there's an enthusiastic Xfire owner in old Blighty, Simon Wood, who's come up with a rather nifty design. If a couple hundred owners press him just to make the tip, I think he might oblige

Now that's the tip I'd like to have!
