Default Grilles Painted SILVER !!!

Hey Everyone, I got around to doing something I've been wanting to to for awhile now: Re-finish my Grille and two lower grilles. I got silver color match paint (Auto-zone) and meticulously painted them. The outcome is beyond my expectations, the lower grilles totally change how the car looks! This is a fantastic opportunity, as there are no other pictures on this forum of someone who has painted their grille and lower grilles in silver. Please enjoy these pictures!

Nice job! I would have taped off the front chrome trim to keep it chromed. But that's just me.

Thank you! I did try taping the chromed plastic edges, but it just didn't look right to me. I'm not sure why. Either way, thanks for commenting!

You may have been first to paint the upper, but several of us here have painted the lowers a long time ago. Actually I think you need one more step on the lowers to complete it.

I'm getting ready to have everything thats painted silver done in House of Kolor's Kosmic Krome. It should look just like our inside door pulls when done. The grill is going to have the leading edge filled in to blend with the rest of the grille. Then I'm going to Kosmic Krome it too. The back part of the grill that ramps up to hide the radiator will be painted black to hide the ramp. The wheels will get left alone. I want new wheels anways. If the Kosmic Krome works out well I'll do the console as well.

You are right, if you paint them you have to black out the solid areas. looks great.

Cool Re: Grilles Painted SILVER !!!

The very first thing that I did when I purchased my 2005 Roadster Limited was paint the lower grille inserts and order the upper grille kit from CTD-Germany.
