Any Crossfire Certified techs out there?

Can anyone out there tell me if they had their "Headlight module" replaced for having only the highbeams out? After I told the dealer it was the "multi-function" switch they claim the troubleshooting tree said to replace the module ($600 job) and then they turn around and say I need a multi-function switch($300 more). I questioned their troublshooting because if they were looking for a "high beam" turn-on signal from the module they would not get on if the switch was bad. Then they go on with "the electronic parts" are non-retunable. I shouldn't have to pay for a module if it wasn't bad.

Does the module control all headlight function or just the high beams?

Does anyone have a cost for a "head light module" ?

Hey stan, I had the same thing happen when I first bought my car. It was covered by my warranty but they did replace those 2 parts. These are the part# 5098519AA SWITCH TURN SIG and 5098638AA MOCULE HEADLAMP . Unfortunately the price they gave you is about right for the parts. You might find them on the web for a little less then dealer cost. I don't know if you need both or if they just replace both cause they feel it's necessary.

Sounds like they are trying to fix by trial and error. They changed the headlight module and it did not fix the problem so now they are suggesting the turn signal/high/low switch on the column.
Tell them to refund the original work and put the $ toward the column switch or tell them to re-install your old headlight module.
Ps. I paid $432 for the canadian version headlight module with daytime running lights so I would think you could get it much cheaper in the US.
