I just saw these on Ebay. I know just the words "side skirts" can get blood boiling on here but are these different than the infamous ones?

For that price, I may try a set. Theres no doubt that these are the same ones as the group buy fiasco, but we will see.

 

They are the same ones. If you want this buy straight from Duraflex to make sure you get a good return policy.

 

Those are the remnants from the forum group buy that went awry. That is Dan's car. If you buy them, be ready to spend a lot of time and money to get them to fit.

 

I sent the seller a message to post or email me pictures of the actual side skirts with mounting hardware. How many kits did Dan have? This seller is showing more than 10 kits available. Maybe Dan bailed out on them?

The manufacturer still has the original mold so they can make what they want... and keep trying to sell them... you will need to find a good shop to put them on right and to look good......$$$$$$

 

I am tempted to get them only because I have done a lot of body work and fiberglass work in the past.

 

I'm sure if anyone can make these work without going to a body shop, you can. But you would be wise to contact jonnyangel04 and learn from his experience to make them fit before buying.

 

You could also contact 'gr8len' as he bought mine a few months ago and installed them himself..... He has pics on here somewhere..

 

Well, hopefully Len will chime in here about his install situation. But here's a pic of them on his car. From what I understand, the reason why he had them painted flat black was due to issues with the fit.

Bob, save your time, money and sanity. Jonny and I worked many many hours on these trying anything and everything to make them work and failed. The way they made them was rock bottom cheap and I could honestly paper mache a better fitting set from toilet paper and corn starch. Bottom line is you can polish a turd for as long as you want but in the end it's still a piece of ****.

I had sent an email asking for pictures of the actual side skirts and hardware and they said they could not do that and referred me to duraflex. I got better things to focus my attention on.

 

Stabbing ones self in the ear with an ice pic would be a better thing to focus on than these side skirts.

 

Bob, if you're seriously interested in side skirts let's talk. I have something in one-off development stage that I won't share on the forum.

 

I'm off the radar for a few months and its like i was gone for only a day.......RUN AWAY FROM THOSE SKIRTS!!!!

And the only skirts I am interested in will be on the beach tomorrow afternoon...hula skirts....well, I may be on the wrong side of the world, but I bet there are at least grass skirts there.....see you all next week.
