The gages you chenged on your car is just awesome. Have you ever thought of´switching the whole interior to white? like the seats etc?
BTW, what about seat belts? red ones would be well groovy. I am amazed noone have done this earlier.

Thanks! I have seen that one before. He actually has both of the seat belts. OEM and aftermarket left on. I think the wifey had difficulties using the aftermarket ones.

The SLK R171 has a OEM sports kit with red seat belts. The SLK r172 has red seatbelts as an option. Imagine red seat belts in our cars? Well fit...

Future plans for the interior will be subtle... I was going to do a white carbon fiber, but I didn't want my car's interior to become too "busy" if that makes sense. As it is (from the factory) I have a light gray headliner, Cedar seats with slate accents, black carpet, and silver trim. That's four colors... adding a fifth color sould be overkill IMO.

Then there's the task of matching the radio, bla bla bla. Too much work for a simple effect.

As it stands, I plan to convert the remainder of the console switches to amber to match the gauge cluster. This means I will have to do something about the radio as well, as it's a huge green light.

I'm one of those guys that won't do it at all until I can do it properly. Procurement of the parts must take place before I start ripping panels out

As for the seatbelts, I'll stick with black. Mercedes' true red seatbelts would clash with the cedar.
