Hi everyone.

My left taillight went out again it was going in and out) so I decided to check the light bulb with another light bulb. My mistake was to keep the switch on when I was check in it. after I figured the connection is bad my brake lights stayed on. It stays on when I have my headlights on and it works fine when lights are off. I checked all fuses. everything is fine. I am not sure what I should look for now.

 

Be sure you have the correct bulb, and that the bulb is installed properly.

Did you just put in a new bulb?
Problems have occured when the wrong bulb was installed as noted in post #2.
The wrong bulb makes the wrong contact in the socket somehow.
Make sure it is the correct bulb, the correct bulb only goes in one way.

 

I agree with 180 sounds to me like you have the wrong bulb or you have installed it wrong.

 

Wrong bulb or open ground to that light assembly.

Love this forum. Swapped out the Bosch bulbs for GE and problem solved. Same spec but the GE seemed to fix the issue. Thanks .
