So l have the right side marker and tail light out everything else is ok put a new fuse in and it blows right away ....any ideas what l should check next??

 

Check the sockets, that receive the bulb. Look for discoloration caused by the bulb getting hot or shorting against the socket. Replace if needed. If you turn the light switch past 12 o'clock, to the left it will light (depending on which detente) ,either the the drivers or passengers marker lights.

 

Ok ....yes l know about the left hand positions of headlight switch ....can a filament in turn signal bulb cause this ?

 

Remove the bulbs and try a new fuse. Yes a bad filament can cause problems. Put a new bulb in one at a time with the switch on. Process of elimination.

 

i wouldn't think so , the filament will usually break in half . Buy a pack an replace them. Stranger things have happened. The sockets , themselves have been known to short out.
