Default Anyone done any rear light conversions

Has anyone done any rear light conversions, I remember a black crossfire with twin recessed circular lights and a car in Russia having a full led conversion on standard light units but did not see the outcome. Anyone else ?

No i havnt but those twin recessed lights may well have been just Decals with cut outs for the actual lights?.
yep, and i would take a set of those in Black please .
but how ? i dont want to paint them , a pita and too permanent.

Crossfirestore ? or someone smart ,i/we need rear light decals with Cut outs Now!

But its probably like the aftermarket headlights situation ,no forward thinking.

I had mine painted where it only shows the bulbs in the back.

Look at the post by alexdc in this section, posted just two days ago. Nice picture of painted rear lights. Similar to what 8thwonder has done?

I did this. I bridged my blinker to my brake light. Pin 3 to 4.
But I had to add a diode on the blinker wire so my brake light current doesn't travel back up to the dash cuz my dash signals would blink when I braked.
the diode prevents current going back to the dash. But let's current come from the relay/dash. Put one behind the bridge on both bulbs. So current can only go one way, from either source of power. (Signal relay or brake relay)
green wire is the bridge. Sharing source voltage in this case the relays. But the diode limit current from going back up. Only to the bulbs. And cuts off there

I coated the clear areas of the tail light lens with a clear red spray coating. This makes the tail lights look more like the Crossfire concept car.

I have considered doing the "Marlin" look to my Blaze Red just as you have done. Is the black painted or wrapped? Looks good.

I like it , the hood center flowing into the grille is cool.
hmm got me thinkin a dark silver grey/gunmetal hood center and matching grill would work well over Black .
could be my next year project ! :-)
