Has anyone updated or replaced the fake side vents?
I’m looking at projects for 2021 and I’m wondering if there is any replacements or projects to make the side vents functional or at least look better...
Re: Has anyone updated or replaced the fake side vents?
Last year Farmers Insurance came out with the "Parking Splat" commercial with the red Crossfire convertible. I found I really liked how they painted the fender vent trim body color. I'm guessing they used an insurance totaled Crossfire and had just painted the whole car fresh for the commercial, but it's a nice look. I bought a set of used vent trim to paint like that to try, but that has been down on the my project priority list.

I agree, the Mclaren has the exhaust in the right place. Below the door skins, in the rocker panels, so it doesn't put black droplets all over the side of the car.

Also lowered the car, increased the size of the tires/rims, (AND) tucked them into the fender well)… It'll need tires more quickly on the car due to the high negative camber tread contact.
Corrected the 'tilt' comment and see it is actually built! Not so much of a trip cruising car, more like a show car. Thanks old-school!

This is a toy ; https://audiocityusa.com/shop/blog/1...ossfire-srt-6/
It can not be driving on the roadway. It would need a special built trailer or some kid of jerry rigged setup just to get it loaded/off-loaded on a trailer. EYE CANDY ONLY!

I have a friend in NC that owns a corvette that is slung as low as this 'toy'. Hot as a pistol, doesn't need a trailer to drive it (has to be careful at road/parking lot/driveway transitions), it isn't a 'toy' and he loves it when he kicks in the cutouts and puts most of the 750+ HP to the rear wheels!

When I spoke to Audio City they indicated it was lowered. I would not want to do that but I love the rims. The next stimulus will get me 12% of the way (and cost my children and grand children) That I think will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
