Wink window molding

My window molding on my 2005 Xfire convertable blew off. The part # is 5PC64XZAAA and it not ANYWHERE I can research.
The description is Molding. Windshield Garnish.

Is it needed? Does anyone have any secret spots to get it?

Robert

This dealer says they have one at $375,
CLICK
however the best bet is to call yards from car-part.com
that have a convertible top motor listed. ( means they have/had a roadster on the lot )

The majority of the dealer websites do not have accurate inventory/availability of Crossfire parts. Sometimes the part will say discontinued but it is not. I'd say 90 percent of the Crossfire specific parts (193) NLA/discontinued. The shared Mercedes parts are available 70% of the time but I am seeing them starting to discontinue parts more and more.

Robert,
I was interested in you window molding issue so I took a look in the 2005 Parts list( found on the forum). I was unable to find that part number on any page. You may have the wrong part number.
I looked on the following pages to help. Pg 331, Door glass and regulators and page 339 weather strips and seals, and lastly on page 416 convertible top and weatherstrips.
I hope one of these pages has the part you are looking for.
I did find the 1BX07XZAAA part number on page 345 if that is the part you require.

I am sure he is talking about the centre windshield trim moulding, you know the part it is on the same shelf as the unicorn horns.

I don't doubt that a bit 180! I bet they are still easier to find than 05166987AB CABLE KIT, Side Tension, Includes Cacle (1) and Torx Screws (2).

The part numbers get superseded quite frequently, the part number he is looking for used to be part 1BX10XZAAA. The part you referenced is now 5PC62XZAAA

Ala_fires link brought me full circle on this. I learn from this forum every day! It is truly enjoyable to be a part of this very unique and interesting machine's life.

The part is ghostly for sure. Is it needed? The description is "Molding. Window Garnish".

Is it needed ... If not caulk, duct tape? .

I know that Red Dog was parting out a roadster maybe he has it. It seems he was offering very reasonable prices.
