Headlight casing condensation
 

I think I know what you will say. BUT, I don't want to buy a new one. :(. Pic attached. I put in the sun and some of the moisture "runs down" (and it's able to escape thanks to a rubber plug I use, take on and off...) This a crack in the casing? I see these are $$$$$. Thank you. Steph

If there is a crack in the housing, the only answer is a replacement housing.
But I doubt that is the case, mine were doing that (not as bad, but Im in Texas north of the "dry line"). The cure was to switch to the Mopar vented, filtered "stoppers". That way, the housing can breathe without dust getting in.

Of course, those kits are no longer available. There is a thread here SOMEWHERE, where an owner cut holes in the non-vented stoppers and glued in little patches of fiberglass furnace filter.

If you can't SEE the crack, there is no crack - that is my opinion, for what it's worth.

This sounds a bit complex for me. What are stoppers? I see big dollar signs if I take it to a repair shop, and NO dealer. :(.

When I say "stoppers" I mean the dust caps, items 1 and 3. Shown are the "solid" caps, you want the vented version that have a vent/filter in them.
Again, they are no longer available from Mopar parts.

No, that's the kit you cant get anymore.

THere is another post by some guy who took the solid caps, cut a circle in them, then glued in some fiberglass air filter material. I just can't find the post, it was in a thread by someone else and then people started replying, so it's not the first or last post, but buried in the thread.

Which rubber plug are you putting on? It sounds like you are missing one of the drain plugs. Compare the headlight to the other one and see what you are missing. You should have 2 drain plugs on each headlight and two caps for the headlight bulbs on each.
