Default Moisture problem in the right headlight

I have a problem with the right headlight in my 2005 Crossfire Roadster ... there's always moisture/sweat droplets on the glass ...

How in hell does one get rid of that????? ... and do so cheaply??? ... I can't afford to buy a new headlamp, too expensive ...

Thanks,
davem

Getting rid of the moisture is easy {07) Remove the 2 rubber dust covers on the back of the headlight assemblies & use a hair dryer or similar and blow warm air into one of openings. if there are any holes in the covers repair before reinstalling. Now, the chances of that being your problem is about the same as a 4ft man winning a high jump competition, Highly unlikely that's way too easy. Search the treads for what other have done, I have not found a solution yet other then just removing the moisture using the misses fire breathing hair tool.

And, at one time, you could order a kit of vented and filtered caps for the back of the light that stopped this sillyness. I had them on my first two Roadsters.
The kit is NLA. But one guy cut up cheap furnace filters and made his own vented, filtered caps; there is a thread here SOMEWHERE where he talked about it.

The lamp housing needs ventilation but it must be filtered or you will get dust inside the housing.

Here is the kit.
On the left are the parts you install. On the right are the parts you remove. The packet came with parts for two headlight units, I show only enough for one.
The secret is in plugging the two holes and installing the large rubber cap which has a filter membrane in it that also stops water from entering the headlight.
The filter membrane stops dust and also allows the heated air to escape, the air also carries out some water vapour keeping the humidity in the headlight unit to a minimum.

Some headlight units were not sealed around the seam between the black body and the lens. I saw one headlight with enough water inside it to keep a goldfish.

I did not say you could buy it, I was just following up pizzas post.
It shows the solution and what you would have to do to achieve a solution. The solution is to allow air and water vapour to enter the headlight but not water in liquid form, so a fine mesh breathable plastic material is needed.
I find it works fine, my old covers were converted to fit HID bulbs.

This is a special part for the Crossfire and they not sell it anymore. Maybe there is a Mercedes part the same or similar.
What we need to modify our parts is to find a material with holes in it that lets air pass but not water, something like Goretex but a bit coarser.

Google "Crossfire Repairs by Paul". Paul is a fellow Xfire owner and has posted several very helpful YouTube videos about fixinging Xfire related problems One of his videos shows how to prevent moisture from forming inside headlight modules. Check him out.
Cheers

Received card etc today with thanks, I hope it works for you as it did for me. Others had less luck and I do not know why.
I got the kit because it was available. Thanks again.
