Default Broken Headlight Glass

Is there a way any shop would be able to repair the a broken headlight lens for a 2005 Crossfire? Or do I have to buy a whole new headlight assembly for 450 + USD, I found one on ebay for 450 but I'd rather not replace the whole headlight!

There is no other way. That is a good price for a new OEM headlight assembly, trust but verify.

I looked at mine when they were out and tried to figure out how to replace just the lense with a custom mold vacuum encapsulation method with polycarbonate but it would be too difficult to keep uniform plastic thickness and the edges would have to be machined perfect for a water tight seal.

If I have no choice I might as well get to ordering the headlight asap. :P Thanks for the replies guys. i figured a glass specialist might be able to do something about it but now I guess not.
