These suffer from too much chrome and a poor fit, they scratch the paint. The one from the UK is much better.
I prefer the original.
I never once replied using the word horrid.🤔

I, too, prefer the original but doesn't answer the question, who made it?

They're listed on ebay by a few sellers, so I would think its made by 1 of the Chinese accs makers and sold thru various retailers.

Okay, found lots on E-bay. Looks like onehundred80 is right, they do scratch the paint in the grille opening...so it looks like I'm stuck with it.

No. You are not stuck with it. I have a new in box factory grille for sale in the marketplace. 😉

Well, I am because I don't want to pay to fix the damage to the paint.

You can go to an automotive auto body and paint supplier. They can scan the paint and then mix you some touchup paint. At least you can fix what is scratched. If it is the edge of that grille digging in, you can make a cushion out of a piece of rubber gasket material and attach it to the metal edge so it will not keep digging into the surface. That would at least stop the damage from getting worse from the vibrations of driving. Just a suggestion. If its digging into plastic it may go deeper than your paint.
