Default New headlights, is it possible?

The autoclave, and all the other components have arrived. No more effing around. Let's see if we can make some headlights, tail lights, blinkers. All in the USA.

I'm also going to start dabbling in some carbon fiber parts. Fun times

What is going to be your process? Heat up some Polycarbonate (lexan) in the autoclave with a press mold?

No, that would be Mickey Mouse. I'm casting them from scratch.

This forum is ghost town compared to the old days.
Glad to see some of the old timers still here though.

I think it's because it's winter. It will probably fire up as the warmer weather comes.

I have seen a view videos showing the casting process using a silicone mold and a poured resin. The typically demo turn signal lights. Do you have any idea of the strength and durability of the resin?

It should be as strong or stronger than the original plastic.

This will be interesting and thank you for helping the greater crossfire community. Personally I plan to get one of your double din kits this summer. Right now, I am still fixing mechanical/running issues. I just spent nearly 600 hundred spark plugs, needswing oil catch can, wires, and coilovers. My aftermarket radio install by the previous person drops out the right speaker way too much for enjoyment.
