Use a voltmeter to find the hot wire in the plug that attaches to the bulb socket. There are no wires inside of the headlight housing, they are on the back of the assembly, routing into the plug

Try replacing the fuse inside the dash fuse box. Maybe that fuse is failing and causing the power problem.
