Well today, I felt like going for a cruise up through the local scenic neighborhoods. It's a nice 14 mile drive that winds around some bends back and forth, with some nice long straights perfect for a 120 mph blast. The Palos Verde's coastal drive faces along the Pacific ocean which has some killer sunsets and a nice view of Catalina Island here in Palos Verde's area.

Usually the tourist are out in full effect, but since the summer season is coming to a close and this being a weekday, the driving thru here was clear and smooth.

Anyways, on my way up PCH, I was SHOCKED at what I saw, A real live Mercedes SLR!!! I was amazed, it is so odd looking in real life. the guy was driving it really cautiously too. From it's left flank I rolled up on this monster, let me tell you what, it's freaky looking, from the front fender, it has an interesting grill behind the wheel, and a real long hood with high rear hunched fenders, almost making it look like a Great White shark the way it wandered about on the road, like it was swimming along or something! Funny thing was he had his rear spoiler wing up, just like the Cross Fire! Man that was ***'s, I just want to see him blow me away, but no Dice the weenie was granny driving all the way thru town. Stupid me I had my camera with me too! Damn forgot to take a snapshot...

After making my way up PV drive, I ran into a Maserati 4 door, nice car, but too many cars and people for us to fool around so I just gawked, where do these people get their money?



After that, and a couple miles further down the road, I spotted something odd!? what's that? It looks like Pirates, lol I guess they're doing some filming of the Black Pearl for the Next Pirates of the Caribbean Movie?







All in all, it was a good Monday drive in the XF...Later. : )

 

haha... pirates... can't believe you saw that, that's a trip and a half...

 

I wish that my Monday drive was as adventuresome as yours... I need to make it out to the west coast!
