snow snow & more snow...
we'll my little old crossfire is garage bound for a couple days... calling for 8 - 12 inches by nights end...
my only glimmer of hope that spring is near... is in this picture looking out my back window... see it in the distance... the lonely yellow flag...
i miss golf... i need to move south. for now my golf digest magazine will have to do.

Naturally I had to drive about 150 miles today in the worst snow and driving conditions so far. I was lucky I was able to use my Honda instead of my Van, (The FWD works so much better in these conditions).
On a sad note, I spotted an Aero Blue XF Roadster traveling North on Rt.77 between Akron and Canton, and their right front fender was smashed up. It wouldn't surprise me if it happened today.
I saw numerous tractor trailer rigs "jacked knife" and lots of cars that slid off the highway.

I am working in an Australia-based company. For the past 3 years, I have had the opportunity to spend between 1 to the longest 4 months of last year, in Australia. However never experienced snow there since the trip usually in June onwards.
I will think of beautiful Ohio winter the next time I plan for a vacation.
Thank you very much.
Guess what, those especially you and Andrew that experiencing "bad" snow, won't have to wait long.
Your sweet warm words have melted portion of the snow and that's a start.

this morning... a level 3 snow emergency (delaware county). this mean no one except emergency vehicles are to be out. ohio state university is even closed.
my neighbor must be having an emergency.
he sure didn't get far... stuck in the street & barely up to his garage (this is where it came to a rest)...

mean while... last night when he came home, he was stuck in the street (fwd) unable to get into his driveway until my honda snowblower came to the rescue and i cleared off his entire drive.
we received 10 inches of snow... 1 inch of ice... 2 more inches of snow... now its blowing and drifting.

Oh man, It took me three hours to get home last night. I didn't see one plow during my drive home.
It was nice to see my XF covered in my garage when I finally made it home. Took out my snow blower and worked off my frustration.

Hey...alright alright. Andrew, stop plowing around outside with that ... thingy of a machine.
Stay home, do window photographing, drink hot choco and most important BE safe.
My conscience recall warm words help to melt the ice. ehm.
So am just going to continue with the tradition.
Your photo taking skill is commendable.
The photos are informative at least for those that live on the "other side" of the World. Thank you.
After knee-deep flood that we experienced about two months ago, part of me feel how fortunate we are in this no-winter/bad-winter.
Still not a chance of changing my mind to experience "beautiful Ohio winter" vacation one day...some day.
~ Not the fun thing you do, its the fun doing the thing.

Keep them coming Andrew.
I was caught in a snow storm about 5 years ago on I-35 north from Oklahoma City to Kansas City.
I was driving my '92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. The snow got so deep that my hood was scooping it from the ground at times! That little car got around better than most SUVs. lol.
That normally 5-6 hour trip took my 8-9 hours as I had to drive 45 mph that trip.
Wish my Xfire was AWD...

What a night, Our family business has been doing the snow removal for Chrysler Canada since 1959. Research and development center was one of my stops.
I got a quick look inside one of the cleanest shops I have ever seen. 6 vipers, 1 ltd. roadster, 1 srt roadster and a few others, nitro, mega cab truck, sebring and I think a jeep. No dodge demon. At the plant that builds the mini van, there were at least 5 crossfires executive leases, 1 srt coupe, 2 srt roadsters and 2 ltd roadsters. All were driven daily and were extremely dirty what a shame. Glad I got my exec. lease before it saw the winter. I push snow all night time to sleep in the day.

Andrew, you're cracking me up with these pics and captions.
Thought I would share an email I sent to my brother back in WV today. He was asking how we were fairing up here. Keep in mind that I just moved to MI a little over 3 months ago, and I've never seen snow like this before:
Bro, prepare to laugh and make fun of me:
I have gotten stuck in the driveway twice so far this winter (in the Accord).
The lovely snow plow comes through when we are at work and leaves giant snow/ice piles at the foot of all of the driveways. My wife just climbs over it in the 4Runner, but not I.
The first time I really didn't notice the huge pile. I checked the mail through the car window and continued on my way to the driveway. Basically I bottomed out, half in the driveway and half in the road. The neighbors are all out snow blowing and looking at me. I had to go in and get a snow shovel and dig it out.
The next time (about a week later), there was a giant ice mound - but I noticed it. I tried going into the driveway from the other side. No luck. Stuck again. I get out, the neighbors are again snow blowing, etc. I am cussing and kicking snow and just raising 7 kinds of hell. Bottomed out again.
So now, when I see that my snow plow friend has been through, I floor it. I like to think of it as a northern Dukes of Hazzard type move. The front bumper busts through the top of the pile (the bumper is gnarly anyway from people constantly backing into it), the car kind of leaps and then I slide into the driveway. I don't exit through the window though.
