Default Transformers Movie

Did anyone go see this movie tonight?

I did.

HOLY CRAP! If you are a child of the 80's it will give you chills...yes, its that good.

When I came back out to my Crossfire after the movie and the lights flashed, I LITERALLY thought that it was going to transform into some crazy robot.

I won't say any more, I don't want to spoil it.

I saw it last night and it was amazing. I couldn't believe the special effects. When I got in my car I put the wing up and the top down just to make the parts on my car move. Seriously, you have to see this movie.

I saw it as well and really liked it! I did notice a large amount of GM vehicles in the move... only one Chrysler (300). I would recommend it to everyone even if you've never seen transformers, lots of great car shots... God I want a Camaro real bad now!

Did you notice that one of the main Deceptions (the police car) was a Ford Mustang? Pretty funny if it was intentional...and I am sure that it was.

This movie is getting bashed by the critics, but I think that it has to do with the fact that most of them were already out of childhood when the Transformers were popular. The nostalgia of hearing Optimus Prime talk and the "Transforming sound" are a HUGE part of why this movie is so good. I haven't heard people clapping in a movie theater like that since the recent Star Wars movies...(no one boo'ed at the end of this though).

Saw it this morning at 10:00. There was a Dodge as well (the cop car) it almost counts as a Chrysler. Lots of GM product placement. Awesome over-the-top special effects.

The cop car was a Saleen Mustang wasn't it? Or are you talking about another car?

I haven't seen it yet but will this weekend, especially since my fiancé is the one of the lead techs for the CV-22 Tilt-rotor aircraft flight simulator. I was lucky enough to "fly" it too.

I had to see it a second time...it is that good! There are "Easter Eggs" hidden in plain sight. They flash on the screen so fast it is hard to catch them.

Look for the scene with Barricade (the Mustang Police car) chasing the kids around the junk area under the freeways. There is a shot from the right rear of the car looking forward. just behind the passenger door there is a quote painted in white script similar to the LAPDs "To protect and serve". On this Deception it says "To punish and enslave". LOL.

I know there are more (not counting all the under the breath comments like "that's gonna rust" and others). Any body else catch one of the other little gems?

I saw it and thought it was a great effects movie. Very cool.

Semi-related story: When I went and saw the new Die Hard movie recently with a friend, there was a woman walking in front of us talking to her boyfriend and she said "I thought it was pretty good, but a little unrealistic". My friend and I laughed our asses off as we were walking back to the car over that. a little unrealistic, indeed. Just a little. Not that it COULDN'T happen just like that, but it isn't really all that realistic. buahahaha...

So after seeing the Transformers with the same friend, while walking out, I said "That was pretty good... but a little unrealistic". Maybe you had to be there. But we both laughed. I sure wish I knew who that woman was so I could thank her for the laughs. That's going to be my standard response now after a lot of movies, I think.

My wife and I loved the movie and have seen it twice already. We also really want the 2009 Camaro to come out!
