Sorry If it seems like I'm being an a$$.....but really people....is it that freakin' hard to mail a box when your time's up?
I'm with you on this one, Apkano ... at their current rate of progress, (which is more like a month and a half or so rather than a week), I could be living in an assisted living facility by the time the bears reach me and their only adventure of their week with me will be taking a ride in my motorized wheel chair ... naturally, if that comes to pass, I'll work on getting some Karmann badges for the chair so they're not traumatized by the experience ...

But really ... what the hell is the problem here ?????

I know this is going to sound CRAZY, but how about we simplify the whole situation & get MORE BEARS!!! Then everyone could have one of their very own, post pictures whenever they want and no one else will be mad about their teddy bear possession time. If you get tired of your bear you could put it up for adoption to another member. Also, some adventurous forum member could design t-shirts for the bears for certain events (Woodward, Dragon) & you could color coordinate to your XF. Everyone gets very worked up over this bear situation - might be a solution. Who made the bear's little shirts in the first place?

The bears were bought by the owner of this forum website.
They were sort of the mascot for the Crossfire group and were to be sent from member to member and kept by each member ONLY ONE WEEK and have pictures taken in various places by the member and posted in this thread then sent along to the next by ongoing continuing contact by PM's to get addresses to keep them moving.
As members showed an interest I maintained a list to let everyone know where they are.
The owner of the website had no involvement after this was started so I voluntarily took the task of tracking these guys and maintaining the list
The list is a sticky thread in the "North America" section in the regional section here where everyone can easily find it at anytime.
Not all members follow the rules so those waiting get frustrated and I understand this but there is nothing anyone can do to resolve this.
Buying more bears will just add to the problem and then the "mascot" theme would no longer exist.

Sorry for the long winded post with long sentences.

The bears took a detour last week and went with me to MEXICO !!
With permission from Shark067 I took them on my vacation to Mexico to show them some culture.
I will be bringing them to the Dragon meet this weekend and then they will resume the itinerary as shown here.

Here are the pics from there recent trip.

Nice pics Valk....

I didn't even think about the fact that I was in Europe for the last three weeks... I bet Cross and Fire would have liked seeing Copenhagen, Denmark and Paris, France...

...well maybe not Paris, but Copenhagen for sure.

I'll have to remember when I head back to Copenhagen in September.

best you get your name put on the bears' itinerary list ... while it's theoretically possible you could get them in time for a fall trip since there are fewer than 18 names on the list at the moment, the bears are averaging only about one host per month so unless something happens to speed things up, it's more likely you'd not get them until fall of '10 ...
