Default Hard Working Morons

Last Friday, these Contractors were installing the steel pillars in the concrete to stop vehicles from parking on the walk outside a sports bar downtown. They are now in the process of cleaning up at the end of the day and are anxious to go home.

How long do you think it will be before the reality sets in?

Probably not what it appears to be! The fire department would never allow these bollards to be installed without an access. They probably screw off.

Anyone who knows what a bollard is and uses it correctly in a sentence has my vote. I believe this guy.

a bollard is a post or pole placed in an area to protect items behind it ie: the posts that are in front of warehouse doors, to prevent vehicles backing into the building if the misjudge distances

Not only for this use, they are also called bollards at the pier and used to "throw" hawsers over temporarily to tie off a ship.
