I park my car away from everyone, and some idiot parks next to me and obviously when they pulled out rubbed the side of my front bumper. This happened last week. And, it's not the type of scratch that can be buffed out. This really ticks me off.

Wow that sucks FP. Crossfires seem to be magnets for nitwits.

Cool Re: Someone rubbed me the wrong way

I have a handicapped plaquard on my car and I forego the handicapped spots in some areas, handicapped people for the most part think that they have the right to leave there shopping carts on the tiger stripes. With that said I normally park in the boonies, after leaving the store and hobbling to my Xfire an SUV decides to park right next to me, mind you my car is parked in a row of 22 empty spaces. The Mother gets out and her kid flings the passenger door open and dings my door. The woman had nerve to say that her kid did not do it, I am less than 5 feet from my car. I carry a .45 ACP with me at all times, first thought was to pistol whip her, second thought take a picture of her license plate and take further action legally. Karma is strange....she never locked her car.....when I thought she was out of eye shot I opened the passenger door of her SUV and lined the ding up and took several pictures and a 8 minute video, I will see her in small claims court.

Well I'm replacing the bumper with the SRT bumper. It would be too expensive to strip this one and repair it.

Good job with the photos and video! But you should still have pistol whipped her just for good measure.

Now that is a good reason to get an SRT bumper. There is almost always a positive in most every negative.

^ Parking lot door dings don't **** you off? Even when I was driving a 7 year old Grand Am I would park away from people in large lots. It's simply protecting your investment (in depreciation) as best you can.

May I suggest a two way alarm transmitter with an RF perimiter alarm... a baseball bat, stun gun and lots of rope. Sometimes ya just gotta protect your property and teach others to respect your stuff.

Oh... Peace and love people.

I take my wife for breakfast on Sunday, park in an area where I figure I'll be away from the herd and head in. I tell Linda to get a seat where I can keep an eye on the car. Plus I just like lookin' at it When we go to sit down we peek out the window and there's a Suzuki something or other already parked next to us! No door dings thank goodness but you know I was fretting all thru my meal.

Yea, too many people out there don't care and it's really upsetting. We've all had door dings which we try to avoid but somehow wind up with them!

Tell me about all them haters man..
Just yesterday i was pulling out the gas station and this guy staring at my car that was standing at the bus stop decides to throw a rock at it, and misses. Won't go any further to what happened, but all I can see is he learned his lesson...

Some people have no respect for other's property.

A few days ago some landscapers were digging holes to plant new trees at the condo where I live.

Apparently, on decided that my Crossfire made a nice leaning post because when I go to my car there is an a$$ print on the left front fender with several scrapes where this bozo rubbed back and forth.

Now I just have to match the a$$ print to the landscaper's butts (just like the foot in the glass slipper only with repairman's butt - uggh).

I have been known to do similar on a couple of occasions.
I once actually took the time to spell got ya back on the door though.
The price a$$holes pay for their ignorance.

Hey FP...

I noticed you had another thread on how much will it cost to paint a bumper. Is the SRT Bumper painted or unpainted? Where did you get it and how much for one of those sweet looking bumpers.
