When I started driving in 1968, regular gas was priced at 24.9 a gallon.
Filled up my VW hippie van for less than 3 bucks!
I can't imagine that it was even .33 a gal in 1959.

Pumped gas from 69-72 at the local Mobil and we couldn't believe it when we passed the $10 threshold and went to 4 numbers...that was a huge RV that took that much...hell that's 2 and a half gallons now....OUCH!!!!!
