What is her name?
I have never had a name for any of my cars,
except, god dam f***en bi**h or you pile of sh**,
you get the idea, and that was years
past when I had junk cars. I have had lots of cars,
some really nice, still never named them.
Not even my boats, everyone names a boat.
Now I have my baby. My crossfire.
It really is somthing special and
she needs a name? If you named your car
A.) What did you name her (him for the gals?)
B.) How did you come up with the name?
I Thank you for any help

Well, I don't think I have ever named one of my cars, just called them names like the ones you suggested.....but she is hot, and she is black...kind of like a woman once I knew...but I had better not mention her name...LOL
My sister named my V12 Jaguar Monica. It seemed like a good name. But one day a little thing happened to my Jag which led to another thing happening to my Jag which , you guessed it, led to another thing happening to my Jag. That was ten years ago, it has never run since. I changed it's name to VIETNAM!
Lets see. Ford F-150 was Mael. Black AMX was Eve (3 faces of Eve) Green AMX was Dalilah. Buick was Wino. Intrepid's were Cherry and Emmy. 300c is Maggie. Xfire is Crissy. Mercedes was Akasha.

My wife is more into naming cars than I am, or was at least. I've sort of been pushed into it just to humor her.
My wife started it with the dark emerald green Camaro she bought new back in '92 - Esmerelda or Essie for short.
My old BMW 3 Series was Steffi because, like Steffi Graf, she was german and had great legs ("great legs" in the car sense meaning it was great for fast, long distance cruising
My former silver Dodge Stratus was Silvia because, well, she was silver (I was still new at this car naming thing at the time)
My wife named my PT Cruiser Penelope, as in Penelope Cruz(er) since Ms Cruz is Spanish and the PT was built in Mexico where, well, they speak Spanish (this is part of the reason I think naming cars is a bit silly)
My former Miata was called Miko because it was a cute Japanese sounding name.
My Crossfire is called Gretchen simply because she's German and gorgeous and I once knew a gorgeous German girl named Gretchen. Did I say gorgeous? Actually, stop-you-dead-in-your-tracks-drop-your-jaw-to-the-floor-stunningly-beautiful was maybe a more apt description of Gretchen.
Even with all those names, I never refer to my cars that way. My wife, however, always does.

I call mine "The Rocket" does that count?
I had a 1982 Mercury Zephyr that had a lot of "personality" (read different colored body panels) and it was called "The Mighty Zephyr" by me and all my friends.
I've had other monikers for my cars, but they were never people names.

- Doesn't the N.Y.P.D. have a don't ask/don't tell rule?

My 4x4 crew cab is known as the "Beast". Sometimes when talking to the wife, I refer to the XF as the "Benz". She refer's to it as a "waste". LOL. Women, go figure. Damn it!

I call mine MI PATIN (on the license plate). My friends refer to it the same.

But I catch myself talking to them every danged day!
My wife and I have just developed the term "little red car" when referring to it.
Close as I can get.
My GF always calls my car cute, in my angered response i say no its MANLY...
So my car is definitely not a chick.
I always tell her, you know what they say about guys that buy "big" expensive cars,
well look how tiny my car is.
Wouldn't the opposite be true than, haha....

If I'm not mistaken only the Bismarck and the Terpitz got the male designation. All other vehicles get the she designation. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
