Default Question about Engine Cover...

Newbie here, My father-in-law has a Roadster I believe, I do custom painting/airbrushing and my wife wants me to buy a cover and do some work on it for a Christmas gift, Question is, are all the covers the same the last 2-3 years? I don't know what year it is, I think he bought it new last year, thanks in advance for your help !

Are there any other engine bay parts that you guys have done ? Fuse box covers, etc. ?

That are the same for the most part. The base/limited has the same engine cover so sizing won't be different. I believe the limited cam with a larger chyrsler logo on the cover.

The SRT is for the SRT, so it will depend on which model.

But to answer your question Yes, you can buy the same engine cover from any year.

SRT=SRT

base/limited= base or limited cover(either one)

As rodimus said the base/limiteds are basically the same, the base is black and the limiteds are silver, and an SRT is a different animal altogether. year should not matter. The pics in your gallery are great, I am assuming they are examples of your work. They are very nice my favorite is the Grim Reaper, I can see you getting some requests in the near future

I wasn't sure about your forum rules and such, don't know if I'm allowed to show off my work and prices, I'm a Vender on LXForums.com (Chargers, Magnums, 300's)

If you get in touch with FP, or VALKRYDERGUY, they may be able to set you up with a thread in the marketplace for you to show off your product. However, from my understanding it is just that and it can link to your site. I do not believe it is an auction house thread...could be wrong.

You asked earlier if anyone had done any work already. I believe that there is one member who had flames painted on his air box, but that is the only really detailed paint job i know of. however, for the fuse box and such i the only work that I believe has been done has been some chrome overlays or sorts. see FP's gallery, i believe he has pics of his engine bay in there...

Skippy,

That is some really impressive work to say the least.

The depth of that blows me away. Amazing. Well done. Do you do any actually car airbrushing? Or just engine bay parts

Beautiful work skippy! I tried airbrushing when I was a kid, I wanted to do those monster shirts like Mouse and Ed Roth. My dad bought me a brush and a compressor but all I ever made was a mess!

Yes, you can show off your work and pricing. Just don't be too over the top about it. The moderators don't want you to advertise in your signature. You can probably do it if you're subtle about it. Others have.

Your art work is top notch. I'm sure the pricing varies depending on the size and difficulty of the design. But can you provide how you structure your pricing?

Thanks again for the kind words guys ! A little info about me, I'm in Mesa, AZ, Been painting/drawing all my life (portraits/murals,ect) and been a car nut all my life (I drive a cousin of your's, 2006 GoMango Dodge Daytona Charger) Got into Airbrushing back in Feb/March about a buddy of mine was Quoted $600 to do the "Predator" from the movies on his HEMI cover. I thought for a min. then a LIGHT came on ! Few weeks later he had his cover

I have a website, in my profile if you want to check it out, mostly a side job now, but it's getting to be a full time thing now. As for pricing, these covers are about the same size as the 5.7L HEMI's which I have done a TON OF !
As for pricing, I have some pricelists on my website.

I just want to say THANKS again for all the kind words ! Been surfing your fourms today and WOW, there are some AWESOME rides, VERY clean cars!

Damian
