There has been some discussion of forming a fantasy baseball league comprised of CrossfireForum members. To do so, we need 8 people to be interested, but it would be better if there were a dozen. As of this writing, there are three of us who've expressed interest.

In a fantasy league, participants select their teams in an online draft shortly before the major league season begins. The success of each team is determined by how the players in the team's lineup do in real life games ... singles, doubles, home runs, runs scored, runs batted in, stolen bases, strikeouts, walks, etc. all have varying 'point' value. Women can participate as readily as men can and a detailed knowledge of the game is not necessary to be a participant.

This can be the source of a great deal of camaraderie and fun.

If you are interested, please respond to this thread. To avoid any possibility of confusion, if you are NOT interested, PLEASE do NOT respond ...

Let me look at my upcoming schedule... I am always up for fantasy leagues, but Fantasy Baseball has to be the MOST TIME CONSUIMG. With every day changes in some cases...

I will look and get back to you... I think you should post up some of the attributes of the league like:

Max # of Teams: (16)
# of active players
# of bench players
point differential for each category.
draft type: normal (1-16, 1-16, etc). or 'the other' (1-16, 16-1, etc.) can't remember what its called.

etc. etc. etc. you get the picture

 

There are 2 more available teams ...

Notify me ASAP if you want to participate ... there is no cost and a detailed knowledge of baseball isn't necessary.
