Milky Spores - calm down guys
its not what you might think....
Has anybody tried this product Milky Spores? I know it says it can take a year or so to be fully effective, but I've tried GrubX, Ortho, and Spectrazide but I don't like using these year after year because of the potential harm to the dogs or any of the tree frogs and toads.
I've got a major mole infestation because of my neighbors field behind me and I need to start controlling the food source as well as using traps before they completly destroy sodded yard from last year.

Erzer, I've been battling moles for seventy-five years with poisons, smoke bombs, traps and such with no real claim to victory. The little buggers can really tear up a lawn.
Getting rid of the food source (grubs) is important, but I've finally found something sure fire. Go to the hardware store and look for this little rubber gadget that attaches to your tail-pipe and then to a garden hose. Fire up Mama's car, shove the hose carefully down into fresh burrows, then go back inside and surf the Forum for an hour or so.
night, night, little darlings ...

Didn't Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) have a cure for this in Caddyshack?
Sorry, I don't have much of a suggestion other than installing a permanent underground barrier such as fiberglass panels or concrete.

seem to recall that there was a product in the UK which was marketed as an anti-mole device.... thing was a long spike which was hooked up to a high frequency transmitter - locate mole tunnel, insert spike, turn on... mole gets a headache and leaves
is this a bs product? no idea never had a problem with moles but certainly seems plausable

If you've got a lot of time on your hands and need the exercise, they also make a set of slip-on shoes with a matrix of 4" spikes attached to the soles. Yikes.
