You are right it is one of the best, I just can't figure out why I have only seen it thru emails ?
Whether you like Fords or not, they seem to be the only one of the big three that looks like they might have thier act together.

As great as this commercial is as a standalone ad, it's original placement was a genius move in terms of marketing.
This commercial aired at the end of an episode of a TV show called American Dreams that ran commercial free, except for this particular Ford ad. The show was set in the early/mid 1960s and in this particular episode the son of the main family on the show just returns from Viet Nam and his dad gives him a brand new Mustang. The tie in was, from a marketing standpoint, epic. Couldn't have been more perfectly done.
