At least for today, I'm spelling 'War Eagle' H.O.O.K. 'E.M.

I am legitimately excited for what could be a national championship of epic proportions. Man I hope they don't let down the over-hype I've already assigned to it.

Better hope McCoy can come back and the D can contain Ingram like they seemed to early in the game.

The game of football is all about the quarterback.

I've always said, any time you play Alabama, you have to win by two touchdowns just to compensate for the lopsided referees.

This game is no different.

A couple of points:

1) I hate Alabama. The referees were terrible, missing multiple holding/interference calls. I understand the whole 'let them play' idea, but that was excessive.
2) I hate Alabama. Texas isn't a one man team, but Texas asked a true freshman to come in at quarterback and command an offense that has been developed over the last four years around Colt McCoy. I believe Gilbert performed admireably and will be a force in the next couple years.
3) I hate Alabama. Alabama did not look as good as the hype. I have seen them play many times, and know that they can be slowed down. Auburn held Mark Ingram to 30 total yards a month ago. It can be done. McElroy isn't a blue chip quarterback. He is blue chip in the system he is in, much like Tom Brady.
4) I hate Alabama. This game would have been completely different if both teams had their full starting 11.
5) I hate Alabama.
6) War Eagle.

I hear ya brother the officials were terrible, from the Big East whatcha expect ? But I'm sure Bamamanians would see that as an excuse so wasn't worth mentioning IMHO
But you're right the offense was built around Colt McCoy and Gilbert took very few snaps during the regular season, I fault OC Greg (got my head up my butt) Davis for that. Gilbert took Lake Travis High School to two Texas State D1 4A Championships. The next three years should be interesting ! HOOK'em !

No denying we got beat, but giving the defense three touchdowns via rookie quarterback mistakes is not my idea of gettin our A$$ whooped, but that's just the way I see it !
As one famous action hero actor turned States Governor once said,

We'll be Back !!! Hook'em !

Agree to disagree...

It was 24-21...no whoop-*** handed. The last score was just Nick Saban being the d-bag he is...

Z, ever hear the song from Frankiy Valli; "walk like a man"?

Like I said, I was rooting for Texas, but Saban is a great coach.

Conservative play calling by Bama until Texas fought back. I say no *** whooping but......just maybe Texas d-line experienced a little rhomping...

Ingram rushed for 116 yds, 2 TDs, Richardson ran for 109 yds, 2 TDs

just saying.......

Yep, the score doesn't always tell the whole story.
