Default Global Warming headed to the south

Wow, I am about 100 miles south of Atlanta, and we are supposed to get around 3" of snow tomorrow. Snow could hit all the way into florida. Mr. Gore's global warming must have headed further south this year.

I live just north of Toronto, Ontario and we have hardly seen any snow this year. I do not miss it and I am sure you just love having what we would normally get.
We call 3" of snow a heavy frost, no big deal.

I know what you mean. I used to live in upstate NY in Plattsburg. It is up next to the Canadian and Vermont borders. I also lived in Colorado and Germany so I am not a strander to heavy snow. I think it is funny here in middle georgia. They can predict snow flurries, and the local news will show all the stores being bought out of bread, milk, and other staples. People make a mad dash to stock up. LOL

Al Gore is currently the subject of an "Amber Alert."

We got +/- 5" of snow last night here in Longview, TX. It sure was fun trying to get to work this morning. My traction control was sending Morse Code to me the whole way. It's no fun having to stop at a light, on a slope, in the snow/slush, with a manual tranny.

In the snow and slush the manual tranny is best. Go easy on the gas pedal and use the engine to brake gently as much as you can.

Yeah, that's what i did. Thankfully I don't have very far to go to get to work. I just hate it because I'm from Houston and there arent any real hills or, for that matter, slopes. I guess I'm just not used to snow.

Another trick is to start in 2nd gear.

Remeber, 4 wheeldrive helps people go faster in snow but all vehicles have the same 4 wheel brakes. Or in thecase of snow, lack of 4 wheel brakes.

Using the rear wheels to slow down gives you more control than a 4 wheeler would have. But only if you pay attention and use it right.

The very same forces allow you to drive more aggressively than an automatic on the Dragon.

I love manuals.
