Arrive in Copenhagen (Sat) at 6:55pm (7 hours later than cst)
Chicago to London 7hr,45min.
Layover (London) 4hr,35min.
London to Copenhagen 1hr,55min.

Summary of our travels over the next 2 weeks:
Arriving in Copenhagen on July 24
Arriving in Angelholm, Sweden on July 26
Arriving in Cheltenham, England on July 30th
Arriving in London on August 3rd

We will be visiting and staying with Victor (our recent host student) and his family while in Sweden.
Then on to London where we will spend time with a friend nearby in Cheltenham.

I'll have my laptop PC with me and hope to stay in contact here briefly throughout my travels.

Have a great time. I'm guessing your killing time in Heathrow airport at the time of me writing. I'm in London for the weekend next weekend coming to watch Salitambanco, a Cirque de Soleil show at Wembly Arena.

Tammy and I arrived with Mary and Melanie in Copenhagen at 8:00pm
It's 9:30pm now and the sun has just set. Still light outside for a nice walk though and cool....60 degrees.
Time to get some food and tomorrow go see the sights here in Copenhagen !!!

Gary, I run that city from time to time. Haha. Kidding. I have spent a good bit of time there. Couple of things to see:

Tivoli
Carlsburg Factory
...and frankly just walking around city center is pretty amazing.

...my company's global headquarters is in Copenhagen. if you go to 50 Esplanaden there is an old wooden cargo ship docked on the water...

...Copenhagen is one of my favorite European cities. The people there are very nice, and the sights are very historical, just may not be as plentiful as say Paris or Rome.

I figure you will not get this tonight as you are either a) out or b) asleep seeing as its 10:30p local time there when I'm typing this.

Hope you have a great time... Are you taking the train from Copenhagen into Sweden? If you go into Sweden via Malmo, Sweden there are some great sights there as well (I liked it better than Stockholm).

I'm sure there will be tons of pics for us to look at when you get back.

Matt, thanks for the info.
I'm up on the forums tonight and the rest have gone to sleep.
We will be out around Copenhagen tomorrow and then on Monday our friends are coming from Angelholm to pick us up and bring us to their place in Sweden.

Here are a few pics from today..
A pic from the plane as we approached Copenhagen airport.
Mercedes Benz Taxi's at the airport and the moon over Copenhagen from our hotel room after dark......

Great pics VALK, hope you had a blast in Copenhagen. It really is a fantastic place to visit. Let us know how Sweden and the rest of your journey are. Stay safe.

If you get the chance, you have to do the "Jack the Ripper" tour near the Tower of London (I"m sure you'll tour this one too).

Gary, have a great time.

Boy does that bring back memories. I traveled for a living for 25 years. Didn't get to see much, but made a lot of friends for life.

I travelled for forty years, I saw a lot but that was because the police kept telling me to move on.

Great pics again, I can save a fortune on travel and just watch your pics.
Remember your next stop is not Chelten- HAM, it's more like Cheltnum. Of course you already knew that.
