I don't collect watches per se, but I do have a fondness for one specific kind of watch. It's called a Frogman and it's made by Casio under their G-Shock line. I own three: two solar GW-200's and one DW-8200 (pictured here) made in August, 1998. They're the only G-Shocks ever to be made out of solid titanium and are built ISO rated as a dive watch.

This is pretty much the only watch I own.. It may not be expensive but I love it.

I have a few. Here are some of my favorite ones. They are a bit of an eclectic mix of watches and price ranges, but I am a bit impulsive in my purchases. The next watch that I want to add will be an Omega Speedmaster Professional

From left to right, and top to bottom:
1. Invicta Russian Diver.
2. Movado Elliptica
3. Oris Artelier Complication Automatic
4. Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chronotimer
5. Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre 9000
6. Rotary Mecanique Limited Edition (281 of 400 made)
7. Accutron Barcellona
8. Tag Heuer Link
9. Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk
10. Seiko Flight Alarm Chronograph

I am a big fan of watches myself, but don't have any pictures of them surprisingly...especially here at work. Here are a few pictures of some of the watches I own.

...I have a couple others, but these two are the newest to my collection and currently my personal favorites.

I have always loved watches, but I have not had a lot of luck with them lasting long ( I have been told I may have excess electric current in my body).

I wanted a good watch that kept good time, was durable and did not need batteries. A chrono option would be nice as well.

My wife found an Oceanus watch (Casio's high line in the US) that is Solar, Atomic and Chronographic. The case and band are titanium and the crystal is saphire.

So far after 3 years, this puppy keeps perfect time (checks with the Atomic clock in Denver 3 times a night), never needs winding or batteries and has taken a considerable beating (I am very hard on watches) and I still love it!

I'm one of those "less is more" individuals...

I have about a dozen Fossils of various color/finish levels, mainly for work/play.

If I need something to pair with my suits, I reach for this one:

A custom "Crossfire" watch by Guess is in development over at CICCI.

Yeah, I've been into watches for probably as long as I've been into cars, which must be about 25 years or more. When I was very young I was obsessed with the transformer-type watches. As I got a little older (~10-13), I had a huge fondness for the first generation Timex Ironman and Swatches. Both were quite cheap, but on my allowance of like a dollar/wk, it took some time to save up for them. As I got older, I also acquired any number of cheapo timex, casio, and fossil watches. They served me well, but I always wanted something a bit nicer. Something that didn't look like trash a year after I got it.

In the last 5 years, I've finally been able to get some nicer watches, though I still use a throw-away for the gym. My parents got me a nice Omega Seamaster dive watch and about 2 years later, I bought myself a brown Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro. They have been great watches, especially the Omega. I was recently in Iceland and came across watches made by JS Watch Co in Reykjavik. I was very close to picking up one of their hand assembled watches, but didn't feel comfortable at the time dropping a couple grand.

Eventually, I'd really like to a Gulf edition Tag Heuer Monaco, but those are quite pricey. Maybe when I reach the next level of promotion at my company I may consider it. I think the next watch purchases I will make will be on the cheaper side--a luminox and/or Casio G-shock (I have always wanted one since I was a kid, but sort of settled on the Ironman instead). Tissot, Oris, Breil, and Victorinox also have some nice watches I have eyed up over the years as well.

I may need to get a watch case like the one pictured above at some time in the future.
