Crossfire tucked away in my 60 degree heated garage although I took it out for a nice warm up run just yesterday while the roads were clean and dry.

It's hitting us full force right now !!!
Glad to be home surfing the net and not out among the crazies that are trying to drive in this mess.
Winds are creating white out conditions.
Visibility is very bad.
Putting another log in the fireplace

The are talking about bad snow storms in Chicago in 1967 and 1979. I have a question for Chicagoans.
Not to make light of your current situation but what about the 22 inches that hit Chicago area on New Years Day 1999? I was living in Bolingbrook (yes Drew Peterson was a neighbor) and at that time they said it was the 2nd largest snowfall in Chicago history, now no mention of it. Did I dream it?

Chicago's 10 biggest Snowstorms:
- 23.0 inches Jan 26-27, 1967
- 21.6 inches Jan 1-3, 1999
- 19.2 inches Mar 25-26, 1930
- 18.8 inches Jan 13-14, 1979
- 16.2 inches Mar 7-8, 1931
- 15.0 inches Dec 17-20, 1929
- 14.9 inches Jan 30, 1939
- 14.9 inches Jan 6-7, 1918
- 14.3 inches Mar 25-26, 1970
- 14.0 inches Jan 18-20, 1886
We got nailed today by about 10" then another 2 foot plus expected tomorrow. Got told to stay home tomorrow because its going to be really bad.
By far the biggest hazard on the roads are idiots in p/ups with plows, all invincible and driving to fast

Glad you are getting the brunt of it
This town was all but crippled by the ice and then sleet we've had all day. The snow falls are expected to be a little less, but still around 10".
Be safe up there.

Halfway home tonite the wipers seized up on the Jeep. Highway was not cleared so just a white foggy expanse in front of me.
2 Crossies are fine inside the buildings. The vert is stuck out in the mess. My bad.
Thursday the temps will be at Zero F.
I will be glad when the storm is over and I can sort it all out.
Mae
Meanwhile, can somebody explain why this cold crap is because CO2 is warming up the planet.
