Why Pizzaguy? Why Your Username?
My wife was using here email name as kweeney61 way before I got back with her and we got married, and about ten years ago I started playing the internet game and thought what a good handle would be? my parents had nicked name me kubby, so when the wife and I married I decided to go with kingkub57, because she'e my kween and I her king. add my nick name and the year i was born, and you get kingkub57
When I played football, I wore the number 50 and I hit people so hard I put them to sleep...
or was it because I kept falling asleep in team meetings? I forget which.

It's just another shameless promotion of Pepperoni Bros. Racing, have been running/working on the salt since '04, can't quit it. I also make home made pizza from scratch, cure olives, love pepperoni, will BBQ anything that won't crawl away and often go by my real name, Tom Liberatore

Pizza, err Mark ~ great thread!
My story. Well I have been a software engineer for what seems like a life time (really since the mid eighties). I have been involved in a field since it's infancy and somehow have become known around the world for what I do.
In any event I have been involved with integrating software systems several times over the years and it always seems that this industry is a small and incestuous world as I continually run into the same folks over and over. Throughout the course of my career I have always worn a suit and tie. I have quite a unique collection of Tasmanian Devil ties and have been quite well known for wearing them to business functions, especially when I have needed to be "aggressive" in negotiations.
For whatever reason I seem to come off as kind of a bulldog (not sure why as I am really a nice guy?). During negotiations in early 2000 I walked into a meeting with a new company and several people recognized me from previous encounters and said; "Oh Christ it's Mr. Taz!".
Well the name stuck and I'm known pretty much around the globe in my industry and on the net as "Mister Taz" or just "Taz".
That's my story; and really you don't want to cross me on it - LOL!
Stay safe...
P.S. A couple of associates have browsed this site since 2008 when I joined and contacted me to ask if I was "MisterTaz". I guess if I wanted unanimity I should of used my real name - LOL !

Beaner, Jim?
Being Irish and German, I like to drink, and I am practical (that being not really creative when I am sober). I was sober when I signed up here.

As for me? I retired 5 months ago and quickly realized I am working harder now than when I had the 9 to fiver.
See what you younger guys got to look forward to.
I chose "6000rpm" because that's what my Coupe's redline is, and I had this pic of an MGB tachometer. It also redlines at 6000 RPM.
Ok...time to explain the name...My actual name is Armando which means my nickname is Mandy but when I was 10 years old Barry Manilow came out with the song "Mandy" and since Mandy was a girls name I wanted nothing to do with that so I told everyone that effective immediately my new nickname was Manny and to this day my family calls me Manny...The TwoTwo was sort of given to me by one of my nephews when he was four. He was a big fan of trains and one day I was talking to my girlfriend at the time and my nephew was showing me a picture of a train and he was trying to say choo choo but my GF thought he was calling me and thought he was saying TuTu and the rest is history so a couple of my coworkers call me TuTu or TwoTwo or 22....etc... So there...mystery solved.

About 10 yrs ago, I was driving in a 55 mph zone, and a blue Mercedes passed me so fast that I didn't have time to see him too much. He was going over 100, was my guess. About 10 minutes later I came around a slow curve and saw about 4 police cruisers that had pulled him over. His license plate said, "IBLUBYU". Thought it was cool and his car was blue also, so I kept that in memory. Now that I have an SRT, I figured I'd use it ....
The funny part is that when I first joined the CICCI club and ordered from their store, Andrew (who is the "store" person), pm'ed me and asked me when did I graduated Brigham Young University! Evidently he did, and he wanted to know what the IBLU referred to. I was tempted to string him along a little by saying it meant "Itzy Bitzy Little University, but I didn't know him that well. When I phoenetcally spelled out the meaning, he said that he couldn't get by the BYU (Brigham Young Univ.) I chuckled at that for a while.
